"We had a lovely stay at Spirit of the River Lodge. Rudi and Claudia have built this special place from the ground up, and they made us feel at home. The sauna, yoga room and massage were a perfect treat after hiking the Inka Trail. We would definitely visit again."

"I spent 3 days at the lodge and loved every moment. It’s peaceful and has a great vibe. My room had full glass on 2 sides and I saw nothing but nature when looking out. Claudia was wonderful and Rudi did so much to facilitate and enhance my stay. Although the lodge is a few minutes out of town, it was easy to catch a collectivo or mototaxi into town - an experience that gives one a taste of the local life. I took advantage of Rudi’s full day ATV trip and had a blast! Overall a great experience staying at the lodge."

"My second time at this amazing place! The location right by the Urubamba River and the mountains is just perfect. You can a expect a quiet night where you will fall asleep to the sound of the wind and wake up with the birds. The rooms are so beautiful, spacious and clean and boutique-ish with an “in nature building style”. The owners Claudia and Rudi are very friendly and helpful and always have good recommendations. The home made food is great too. I can only give my best recommendations!"
