With breathtaking mountain views and a resident group of 5 or 6 alpacas roaming the grounds, it offers a serene atmosphere that is ideal for decompression at either the start or end of a Peruvian itinerary. Service & Dining The service here is truly first-class—attentive without being intrusive. Due to the resort's remote and peaceful location, most meals are enjoyed at the on-site restaurant. Fortunately, the culinary program is exceptional; the food is flavorful, beautifully presented, and easily rivals top-tier urban establishments. The Huchuy Qosqo Trek: A Hidden Gem One of the standout features of this resort is their curated tour programming. I highly recommend the Huchuy Qosqo Trek. It is a roughly 10km hike along an original Inca route—a rare find that I didn't see offered elsewhere. For capable hikers, it is a special, immersive experience that feels far removed from the typical tourist trails. Strategic Logistics for Machu Picchu The resort is excellently positioned for those planning a visit to Machu Picchu: • The Route: It is a quick and easy transfer to Ollantaytambo, where you can catch a direct train. This is a much more efficient strategy than traveling from Cusco, which results in a significantly longer and more exhausting day. • The Train Experience: I took the First Class service on the way up to enjoy the views and opted for the Prime train for the return. Since it’s dark on the way back anyway, the Prime service is a smart way to manage costs without sacrificing comfort. Final Verdict While the property is a premium investment, the quality of the experience justifies the price tag. It is a world-class spot to relax and find your footing in the valley. "Nous avons passé 2 nuits à notre arrivée au Pérou et ce fut superbe. comme arrivée au Pérou on ne pouvait pas mieux rêver; tres belles prestations de l hotel, Louis le propriétaire est un livre ouvert sur la culture péruvienne, Bruno est aux petits soins pour les hotes, le chef cuisinier est excellent. les Alpagas dans le jardins sont affectueux et adorables. en plus l hotel est situé à une altitude moindre que Cusco ca permet de mieux s acclimater . le tout laisse des souvenirs impérissables. merci à eux"

"We loved our stay in Sierra! It is tucked away behind a quiet local town and we did not expect to see such a lovely place surrounded by mountains. Silvia the owner has been so accommodating - we landed late on our first night and even though they have closed their restaurant, Silvia made arrangements in advance so we could have hot noodle soup when we arrived. Her husband introduced the resident rescue alpacas which are super cute. The common area is so cozy and beautifully designed. Highly recommend!"

"Sierra Sacred Valley is a diamond! Bruno, Luis, Silvia, and everyone else will treat you like family and are attentive to your needs. The location within the Sacred Valley is ideal for touring the famous spots. The quality of the food is outstanding. Spending time by the camp fire at night and listening to Luis tell his adventure stories is better than watching a documentary on television. There are also alpacas on the property that are friendly and curious. The massage services are also spot on. If you are planning on visiting the Sacred Valley you have found the perfect spot."
