"WOW: Like many other travelers, Peru’s Machu Picchu was a “bucket list” trip; however, the trip Edgar/Luxury Cusco Tours curated for us EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS! It was Edgar’s ability to listen and take our explicit request — “we want to have a mixture of active hiking in Machu Picchu/Sacred Valley and historical city tours in Lima/Cusco/ Arequipa” — then deliver a detailed and balanced itinerary, with guides well versed in history, culture and English. It was Edgar’s ability to match our travel wants/needs and enhance our experiences with the hidden Peruvian gems that aren’t found in typical travel itineraries (think uncrowded hikes to Inca ruins or a 17th century home not open to the public!). Also, Luxury Cusco made the transport to/from airports and the acquisition of the multiple entrance tickets seamless. A couple of my favorite memories include not only the classical Machu Picchu, but the adjacent hike to Waynapicchu (“Stairs of Death”); the Sacred Valley’s magical vistas/hikes bordered by the Inca tiered terraces and wandering llamas (PLUS a visit to a Shaman, as well as a small private sanctuary to see the “Speckled Brown Bear” and several Condors, plus a visit to a women-run weaving community!); Cusco’s famous cathedrals and Saqsaywaman Inca site, and the City Market (NOT to be missed!); and finally, last but not least, Lima, a cosmopolitan and historical city that’s also a foodie’s Happy Place (the tour of the Inca museum of pre-Inca artifacts, and the historic 17th century home still owned by the same family were my 2 favorites). As I close this review, I have a smile on my face. Truly, this was a 5 Star trip for us…and Edgar/Luxury Cusco Tours made it MAGICALLY MEMORABLE!"
