"Our travel agency booked ITEP for our 4 day 3 night Lares Trek and we couldn’t have had a better experience. We did circuit 2 that started in the Lares Hot Springs and ended in the Sacred Valley. ITEP organized a wonderful experience and provided great tents and warm sleeping bags! Our guide, Jorge, was unbelievable and we missed him the entire rest of our trip lol. He was very personable and didn’t rush us as some people in our group were having difficulty acclimating to the altitude. I have a severe dairy allergy and he also made sure all the meals I had were safe for me. Finally, our cook, Sebastian, threw down! That man put together the most delicious meals with limited equipment in the Andes. Most people can’t make anything 1/2 as good with a full kitchen and equipment. We definitely did not go hungry and were provided snacks and fresh water for during the trek as well. I’m planning on doing another trek in the future and will definitely book with ITEP again. Attached are some photos of the views and amazing food we experienced!"

"We did the 4D-3N Inka trail hike with this company and had an amazing experience. We are both vegan and I CANNOT stress how amazing, abundant & varied the food was! Some of the best catering I have ever had in my life, even including some tvp/soy protein! I miss it still. Our guide Raúl was very helpful & knowledgeable. We did the trek in March, we were very lucky that the rest of the group cancelled and it was just me and my partner so it was like a private tour. We did not have too much rain, although we did arrive to Machu Picchu in the mist on the final day so we did not get the classic photo, although it was still amazing to visit. We had booked the climb to Huayna Picchu, so we were able to see a clear panoramic view of Machu Picchu a bit later in the day (I really recommend this, especially if you go in the rainy season for a second chance to see Machu Picchu from afar). The porteadores were also friendly and helpful."

"We just finished the Inka trail (March 2026). We loved every bit of the tour and our guide Percy was amazing, very knowledgeable, funny and helped us on every part of the trip. We learnt so much and the tour at Machu Picchu at the end was one of the best. The food we had from Julio Caesar was also very good. Thank you!"

"DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. I bought a Machu Picchu tour for 9 people from them on January 10th for a trip in April. I sent them an $1800 deposit which turned out to be $1908 after credit card fees. On February 25th they reached out and told me that they could not get us tickets to Machu Picchu…. Almost 2 MONTHS after we had booked it. This was not a small trip we already booked our flights to Cusco, air bnbs, for 9 people. They claim there was a system error when they went to buy tickets for us and their payment was not accepted. Again almost 2 months after I had paid them did they tell me. I demanded my $ back and they tried dictating when they would send the money back and said it had to be through PayPal. After they sent the money back we ended up only getting $1694 back after MORE fees so we lost $214 not including the thousands in airfare + air bnbs and received NOTHING. Horrible experience, very unprofessional, I highly recommend booking through a different agency so you don’t risk this happening to you."

"I would definitely not recommend booking here! Worst experience of my trip to Peru. I had booked a 5-day Salkantay Trek here. The evening before, the tour was canceled very spontaneously. I was promised that I would get my deposit back, minus the costs for the Machu Picchu ticket, which they already bought. I waited almost a week for the money, because I then spontaneously booked the trek with another company and was promised that the money would be sent to me via PayPal. However, this did not happen. Apparently, there were complications due to the rain. After that, there was no response to my message. When I went to the office in person a week later, they continued to try to fob me off. After a discussion lasting over 30 minutes, I finally got my money back. Very unpleasant and unsympathetic!!!! I had the feeling that they were just waiting until I left Cusco and no longer had a chance to collect the money. In addition, the Salkantay trek with this company includes a Machu Picchu ticket for circuit 3, which unfortunately does not offer the beautiful view from above."

"We booked the Rainbow mountain ATV tour via Salkantay Trek with 2x45 ATV riding. They put us in the cheaper tour with 15 min riding and only after we complained they eventually explained that this was on purpose - 15 people instead of max. 8, no gloves, no other safety equipment besides helmets, a shitty restaurant instead of the advertised one where lunch was already cold… overall just an absolute shitty experience. At least they promised a full refund. Would strongly recommend AB Expeditions instead"
